Did you know that 1180 students dropped out of University courses early in 2014 – 2015 citing mental health reasons? This is up 210% from 2009 – 2010.
The pressure that students can be under is huge and there can still be an awful lot of stigma attached to reaching out for help. It can be hard to admit that you’re struggling, unhappy or feel that you’re on the wrong path – especially perhaps when you’re carrying the weight of parental or other caregiver expectations as well as your own.
The wonderful illustration featured above is by a student and illustrator called Ella Baron who worked with Undergraduate students to capture their experiences.
Counselling can offer support to help you make sense of your thoughts and feelings and to empower you to work towards change.
