Welcome to Crossgate Counselling and Training

My name is Polly Singer (she/her). I work with individuals, couples and other relationship dynamics. Whatever brings you to therapy, I will aim to help you feel valued, heard and understood. I can help you to identify the challenges you are experiencing, discover ways to cope and to move forward in meaningful ways. I see my role as empowering you to heal, rediscover strengths and increase your ability to trust yourself. I will value you as a unique, complex individual who brings with you all of your experiences, hurts, worries, joys and desires. Together we will work collaboratively, and with care, to help you achieve what you want from the therapeutic process.
I trained in an integrative approach (Prof Dip in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy) which means that I draw on different strategies and techniques and tailor my approach to best meet your needs. As a registered and accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP Accred), I work according to their professional standards and within their Ethical Framework for Good Practice.
In my work, I support clients across a wide range of issues including: relationship issues such as infidelity, conflict and communication issues, loss of confidence and self-esteem, exploration of sexuality and gender, bereavement and other kinds of losses, work based issues and coping with life transitions and changes of all kinds. I work in an LGBTQIA+ affirming, trans-affirming way and I embrace gender, sexuality and relationship diversity. I strive to offer a safe, accepting place for individual self-expression, self-understanding and joy. Whatever brings you to counselling, I hope together we can help make sense of your experiences and help you move forward in a way that feels meaningful for you.
I offer daytime and evening appointments and I am based in comfortable, private premises on Whitham Road in Broomhill, S10.
